Vanessa Pearson is the Trading Manager for BWS (Beers, Wines, and Spirits) at the online supermarket, Ocado Retail. She is recognised for her significant role in shaping Ocado's wine and spirits offer and for her expertise in the sector, winning IWSC Online Retailer of the Year 2025 and The Drinks Business Buying Team of the Year 2025. She holds WSET wine and spirits qualifications and was a graduate of the Champagne Academy in 2024.
In her role at Ocado she leads the buying team of 8 and is responsible for the strategy delivery and growth of the category, of which has been out performing the market.
Prior to Ocado, Vanessa spent 16 years at Sainsburys in a variety of buying and commercial strategy roles.
